Devil Seed is a Hungarian doom metal band, formed in 2017 by Stragessa and Rev. Hopkins. The style of the music is mainly traditional/epic doom metal spiced up with female vocals.
The band's first demo, 'Firecult' was released on 2nd November 2018 and it also appeared on Hands of Doom - Stoner/Sludge/Doom music compilation from Hungary - release later that year.
In November 2019 the recordings have been started for the band's debut album, which was released on 13th February 2020, officially without a title. The album's first release was digital, a little later came the CD Digipack format and the casette by Total Darkness Propaganda.
Devil Seed's next EP "When Death Calls" was a cover of Black Sabbath's song taken from the album Headless Cross as part of Antichrist Magazine's "A Tribute to Black Sabbath" online release.
Besides the concerts and festivals Devil Seed was working on new songs for their 2nd album and started the recordings of the new material in May 2022. The self-titled second album will release on 1st November 2024.
